We are proud to announce that we’ve been named in The Sunday Times Best Places To Work 2024 – among 500 companies selected according to culture, staff perks and progression.
Universal Partners, one of the UK’s fastest growing UK payment companies, was selected by The Sunday Times as one of the The Best Places To Work in 2024, in partnership with WorkL.
Representing another huge achievement for the business, the prestigious award highlights the huge investment into workplace culture since the pandemic. With staff benefits such as Private Healthcare, increased pensions and incredible training opportunities, staff have indicated that they are amongst the happiest in the UK.
A Culture of Excellence
Oliver Carson, CEO of Universal Partners, said, “Since starting Universal Partners back in 2017, we have always prioritised building an amazing culture that breeds hard work, learning, teamwork and most importantly, an excellent service for our clients. Throughout the last 3 or 4 years of rapid growth, our leadership team have worked tremendously hard to ensure the working environment and company culture are maintained and improved. This has been fundamental in our success and absolutely pivotal in being recognised in awards such as The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024. The result is an incredible working environment which is positive, collaborative and ultimately very successful and I am very proud of everyone at Universal Partners who make us one of the top workplaces in the UK today.”
How the Survey Works
The Sunday Times partnered with employee-experience platform WorkL to deliver fresh insights into what makes a Best Place to Work. The awards survey includes 26 questions from WorkL’s engagement survey—developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, academics, and business leaders—to measure employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort. To achieve a high overall engagement score, an organisation must score well across WorkL’s six-step framework:
1. Reward and Recognition
2. Instilling Pride
3. Information Sharing
4. Empowerment
5. Wellbeing
6. Job Satisfaction
A Platform for Success
Chris Longcroft, EVP Publisher, The Times and The Sunday Times, said: “All organisations are only as good as the people they employ and retain. The Sunday Times Best Places to Work awards recognise companies that are innovating to create an engaged and fulfilling working environment for all and in so doing they are creating the best possible platform for business success. To be named on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list is a true recognition of excellence and I congratulate those organisations who made the grade this year.”
A Message from WorkL
